Solved Can Smelting Speed Use Decimals?

Hi I was just wondering if it's possible to use decimal numbers on the smelting speed? From what I've noticed when set to 1 the smelt time is around 10 seconds. But in order to get the time down to 3 seconds I'd have to use 3.3333 as a smelt speed multiplier

It's not possible. Also, just so you know, a smelting speed of 3 might be normal for a small furnace, but for a large furnace, that's extremely slow. That's why you see the default config group certain ovens together based on their default speeds. For example, the normal speed for a small furnace is 3 while for a large furnace it's 15

The speed is also influenced by how many slots the oven has and how many are occupied. So my recommendation isn't just to increase the smelting speed, but to adjust other parameters as well, like how many items are cooked per cycle, how many are produced, and how much fuel is consumed
